Perhaps one of the greatest factors in the
success of my company has to do with communication. By communication
I donot mean at all what is today interpreted as "always
wired" I knew several years ago that it was getting out of
hand when cell phones became very popular and people started using
them with a vengeance then came blackberry and palm (PDA) and
laptops on every laps and... and ...and. Looking back at my successful
attempt not to be wired with a cell phone I was able to do without
blackberry , palm , laptops etc and yet how can I attribute a
success to communication at SRE ? Long ago about 25 years to be
exact when I first stated the business the phone would never rang
and few times it did during the day I would promptly reply and
at the same time wished it would ring more, may be I never forgot
those days of longing for the phone to ring that is why today
I always "reach for my phone lines when it rings" and
I derive the same pleasure (actually more ) than I did those days
I still consider the most important my ability to share with every
caller regardless of the size of the sale in question the most
enthusiasm I can show.It is a fact that when people ask me the
secret of my success I always reply that I do something really
unique to communicate with my past , present and future customers,
for that I do something so unique , so noble, so revolutionary
that millions out there can't even relate to.......................
I answer my dumb phone , no screening, no hiding, no lying about
being there........................ I simply answer the phone
when it rings and with my call waiting I can satisfy all the flaws
of calls that I am blessed to receive.
