WHERE
IS THE ITALIAN SERVICE GONE ?
I
have visited Italy about a month ago and while there I wanted
to buy some parts from a company I have known and dealt for
over 20 years not on a regular basis but occasionally. Unfortunately
I was late in arriving from Milan (driving a rental car) so
I called from the highway I was going to be there about a quarter
to 5 and I did make there at that time but I found the coldest
reception from the receptionist and from the employee that was
to have had the parts ready for me to pay and pick up. Everybody
gave me a cold shoulder and told me it was too late so I reluctantly
departed. The moral of the story is that to a great extend service
in Italy is dead. In my company no employee manager or me would
have ever refused to serve a customer because it is 10 minutes
before 5. I just thought I would share with this my friends.

for the question in the title: The kind Italian service went
to join the lousy French Service )
