Everybody in some moment of weakness needs some support. The problem is when getting used to it you feel that you needed it all the time. In my industry as I suppose in any it is much easier for some people to handout a business card with a logo of a major product on it than it is to hand out a card with only their business on. To some of my competitors introducing themselves as distributor of so and so product makes them feel that much secure. I have been used by few companies early on my carrier and realized just in time if I were to do some building I should use the building material in my name because sooner or later I would loose. I have advised several friends in my industry of that and unfortunately they decided against my point of view only to realize later, years later that if only ….. they would have been smarter. Companies in my views use distributors like a disposable commodity sometimes and those sometimes are the times that a little guy like Domenic could have been hurt. Luckily I opted for the former rather than the later and although I lost some momentum in the beginning I gained a lot more later on.
