last weekend
was World cup soccer final and that game offered me a big lesson.
Here is my comment .
During
the final of the world soccer tournament I and I hope the rest
of the world (literally billions) that was watching the game
got the biggest lesson in what I would call"Out of Control
Behavior Damage". We were able to witness how a few seconds
of your life can flush in the toilet all the respect and admiration
an entire soccer fan generation has endowed and allowed you
to have. Those few seconds should have given the viewer a rare
glimpse at how you can stick your foot in your mouth so deep
that you cannot extract it out and it therefore will cause you
to choke yourself to death.
Zedan the french soccer
star was hailed as the best player of the last quarter century,
and no matter how this wears a star down it should also elevate
you to a stage that you feel above the criticism the other merely
human players may throw at you. Be thankful to GOD and life
that has given you so much and don't let "ANY"temptation
make you lose your temper for no petty comment somebody makes
about you. The game was almost over (ten minutes left) and during
the game all accolades have been given to this player his name
was excitedly and respectfully mentioned every single time he
touched the ball or even came near it.His super stardom achieved
with teams in Italy (Juventus)and Spain(Real Madrid)was the
stuff legends are made of.
It was even mentioned
how instrumental was the current coach of the Italian national
team in his reach to super stardom and how resentful he was
to its even being mentioned. Stardom has a price and I think
the recipient once there has to rise above the mere humans and
don't let mere comments go to the core of the brain and screw
it up.I had the privilege to meet the soccer god of all time"Pele'"back
in Bermuda in the early seventies when he was negotiating to
play in the USA and as an observation I can say that neither
Maradonna or Zidane have come even close to reaching that level
of either play or deserved stardom.Contrary to many people saying
that Zedane lost his cool and mind for a few seconds because
a comment the italian player must have directed to him, I say
that he was calculating in his action because he made sure the
referee had his back turned toward him when he rammed the italian.
I really noticed in him
some animal instinct when he drove his head ahead and (having
secured the referee) to the billions around the world, the very
suckers who lifted him on the pedestal he was sitting(not standing
as he should have) said (without saying) screw you all, you
gave me this privilege and I'll take it. To the billions he
gave a great lesson, that the distance between stars and stalls
is only inches away. Contrary to the comments made on tv by
soccer USA stars Brandy Chastain and Ethan as to how he will
be remembered I feel that he will be remembered as an idiot
that had some lucky strikes in soccer and was given an inordinate
amount of undeserved and in some aspects unwanted rewards. Personally
I feel he deserves the highest level of rejection and to be
thrown in the lowest rungs of hell where he belongs
