points in the first half of the game against Utah Jazz. At halftime, he departed
the arena with Houston ahead 41-36. Reasons was that his fiancee was going into
labor at local hospital. Baby boy was born. Opposing center Andrei Kirilenko said

| City of Dallas has new law against serving food to the homeless on city property. Seems too many groups were offering their kindness to the homeless. Now, anyone serving food must have a certificate of passing a "food handler" course and can only serve in areas to be designated by the city(still unknown).Fine for violating the law is $2,000 per occurrance. (Can't wait for a city councilman to be in an accident and ask for water!) |
| Two gunmen went into a Petco store in the Casa Linda section of Dallas on New Years day.They asked everyone to remain calm as they took an orange mature cat named Simon which was offered for adoption. They didn't take anything else or any money. Seems the store wanted $100 as an adoption fee prescribed by the Animal Protective League.Although store cameras took pictures of the two men, it was not known who they were. ( Seems to me there is much unknown about this story). Local news channel asked viewers to call Dallas police if they recognized the men or SAW AN ORANGE CAT! (Local officials asked for a $100,000 grant from the Dept of Homeland Secure Kitty!) |
