I remember hearing about the wonderful way the things worked in America way back in the 50's and 60's.I dreamed of one day coming to this country and my wish came true back in 1975.I found it to be almost exactly what I dreamed of, but I found a steady decline and an accelerated decline in the last few years over the way we serve each other.
We have lost track over the way we use to perform the services we expect.We have no more patience, we dont do what we promise and we fail every day more to match expectations and delivery. I have submitted my passport for a visa to Brazil and after 20 days(the website advertised a turn around of 7 - 10 days) Iam told that the embassy has too long a backlog to deliver my visa. We keep on hearing complaints all over the spectrum about jobs that are going to India and manufacturing that is going to China! Iam not at all surprised since we donot like to answer the phone anymore and we donot care about a work ethic that made America the envy of the world. Iam the only person I know that still cares to answer his own telephone. Students are not taught how to add so they donot know how to make change in the stores(I think the reason for all this is because the teachers never learned how). I guess my frustration over this visa issue has got me totally upset and wound up.
