American GI adopts Iraqi disabled child

An American GI spent some time in an Iraq Orphanage and became attached to an Orphan with Cerebral Palsy.
He decided to adopt the boy even though there were many Iraqi government obstacles.

I know parents of children with Cerebral Palsy. For some of them, it is a full-time job & huge challenge with the 2 parents.
For a single man to adopt a foreign born child knowing what might be required is remarkable. Never heard of that before.
