Once upon a time (you
will surely learn this lesson in the history class ) there was
a president in this wonderful country of ours named Jimmy Carter.
He was from Georgia , the same state my daughter Daniela come
from, only thing he was a peanut farmer and he should have not
gone to Washington but stayed there and farm peanuts. He was
in my opinion the worst president this country ever had. He
brought to Washington also his brother Billy, the butt of jokes
for the entire four years of his presidency, with the intent
of diverting the attention of all americans from the awful ways
he was screwing up the country. During his presidency in addition
to all the economic indexes the country's bean counters release
every month there was another called "The misery index"
measuring monthly how deep he sunk the economy. During his tenure
the interest rate house borrowers pay for home mortgages shot
up to levels(as high as 15%)never seen before or since. As for
holding high the image of America with the rest of the world
he did a lousy job also since he sank it to the lowest level
ever. Two of his biggest accomplishments were the exit of the
Shah from Iran and the intsaation in his place of an Ayatolla
run country that in 1979 invaded the American embassy in Teheran
(a place that should have been defended as American soil ) kidnapped
all the Americans inside and held them hostage for the next
444 days parading them often to the media like animals in cages
at a zoo. Those were the days that the American haters(every
country has its share) in the world got the idea that the giant
was wounded and therefore would be easy to kill.
Fortunately this awful man was followed by a president (Ronald
Reagan, considered today twenty years later possibly the best
this country ever had) that restored most of the American respect
abroad and brought in the country one of the best periods of
prosperity. Unfortunately, although this guy "Carter"
was kicked out of office at the first opportunity the country
had,is still bitter and continues his job of trying to destroy
his own country at every opportunity he has. The other day in
an intervew with a german newspaper (der spiegel) again stuck
his foot in his mouth (I wish it was true so he would have chocked
to death) and threw at America all the stones he could get out
of his pocket at the time. How sad for the country to have to
deal with such an awful"Grandpa".
