Dear
Friends
It
is important that you set (although not in stone) some principles
when you start a business activity and when you follow them because
those are the columns that hold your business concept together.
In my case I can say that I use those as a compass to guide me
and direct me toward a progress. I started with such a low budget
and low expectation that I chased every sale regardless of its
size just to feel good about completing a sale. Today I can say
that I still follow the same principle and I get excited about
a $10.00 sale as much as a $1000.00 I give the same respect (that’s
another principle I started with) to the person that calls for
a part on a cappuccino machine as I do to the person that calls
with the intent on buying a machine.
Another
important factor was my intent on always answering the phone and
avoiding pre-qualifying the caller by one of my employees. It
has worked so well that today regardless who is sitting in my
office I will stop the conversation and pickup my phone when it
rings. Another important principle has to do with the fact that
starting in business with so little as I have and having to use
my enthusiasm as a primary resource it has molded into a long
lasting, inexhaustible and non diminishing spring. I need to mention
that another principle to be proud of is the fact that regardless
of the customer attitude about wanting to be a big spender I still
try to put some sense and measure in his or her plans and try
to get them in for as little as possible just the way I would
like to be treated. Fortunately principles and Gods and all the
stars were lined up to assist in the most wonderful journey I
would have ever dreamt to undertake when back in 2001 it began.
