I
have learned early on in my business that one crucial element
that can lead to either success or failure is managing data. We
all are involved one way or anther in managing data. Information
is coming to us from various sources and it is up to us to manage
it to our advantage. In my business I never did and never will
expect that a sale will materialize on the first contact with
the customer. What you get is accumulation of data, the sorting
out and the processing of it can be profitable or confusing and
lost. Fortunately I have developed quite a skill managing leads,
request for info or just playing calls. The results can be quite
rewarding if you can manage well. I have shared with my reader
before about my biggest function that I do here is answering my
phone. I realize how important it is when I go out of town for
a day and the messages are taken but I try to call back the interest
has vanished With the communication industry expanding almost
on a daily base with new and expanded ways to communicate, it
is sad that the only way to get to talk to somebody is through
different styles, colors, sizes, forms etc of answering machines.
No wonder people are so ready to talk to a machine that when I
come on the line and they ask to speak to me are so surprised
when I say that I am the person that they are looking for, they
don’t hide their socks and surprised.
