Ciao Kiddo!
I cannot help but look at the other side of this giant expand and
remember all the trips I took with my dad when I was at that age or
older. We would always have Rosa my donkey with us and it was a treat
riding on the donkey with my father in the back of him holding on tight
on his waist so I would'nt fall off. I would also enjoy walking on the
wall on the side of the road without being afraid of the height. We
would take the saddle off Rosa upon arriving and she would enjoy
grazing all day eating grass especially in spring. I would busy myself
playing games my dad taught me or I would improvise but very seldom get
bored. Ohhhh how I loved
in early summer when it was honey time and my father would spend hours
sometimes looking in the wild for honey cones so he could break the
completed chambers and with an improvised wooden spoon extract the
honey and feed it to me with so much love and satisfaction at my
happyness.I seldom remember if he tried the honey himself. The rest of
the day he would be busy cultivating the land or planting or pruning or
harvesting depending on the time of the year. I would enjoy playing and
playing and often cheching the traps we set up to catch birds (mostly
sparrows) so we could bring them home and my mommy would cook them for
me for dinner.Lunch quite often was a salad made with fresh tomatoed
(just picked in season) and for second some salamy(homemade) we brought
from home. I've got to tell you how few things these days we bought to
eat since a great part of our food was homemade with homegrown items.
Need to go back to bed I'll tell you more another time
