My greatest Grankidd!
I had to drive to the place we call
"La Guardia" It is an outpost
way up in the easternmost part of the city.
Did I say city? Am I dreaming or it is true a city in my mind. The
latter is true. I climed over the parapet (wall) turned my back to the
road sat down let my legs hang on the wall closed my eyes and started
to dream. Many many years a go I used to go to the country with my DAD
in the morning was all downhill but in the evening when it was hottest
in the day it was uphill and hard. About the time I was born my father
purchased a donkey and he named her "Rosa". She becaime to me lake a
best friend, in fact when years after I visited India and saw the love
the people have for the cows and consider them part of the family,
Rosa was to me same as family. She let me ride her a lot for many years
especially appreciated were those rides she gave me in those
sloooooooooooooow nites.I opened my eyes at this point and admired the
vastness of this place a place that in fact in the years I .was growing
up seemed to me that it was the center of the Universe. I cant wait to
hear your party made it to Careri and I want to remind your parents to
visit some of the places I used to call HOME. I love you from Careri
Nonna loves you from the first stop in my VIP.
Loooooooooooooooooooooooooove you
